Banana Two-Ingredient Pancakes | Pinterest DIY

 Hey everybody!

I'm here with a different kind of post that I've been planning for a while. I had to take pictures of every step and I made sure to document this entire experience, even though I'm definitely not a master chef. (Not yet anyways.)

So here's my experience making two-ingredient banana pancakes! I hope you enjoy:

1. Bananas + eggs
I gathered my TWO ingredients: a large banana and two large eggs.

2. Cut up bananas.
I pulled the banana apart in a medium-sized bowl.

3. Mash them.
Mashed that sucka up using a fork until it was a pudding consistency.

3. Make mixture.
In a separate bowl, I cracked the eggs and beat them until the yolk was completely broken. I then added the eggs into the banana mixture, and mixed everything until it combined to form a thin, almost watery pancake batter.

4. Grease pan and heat oven.
I greased the pan with canola oil, and I set the oven heat to a "medium heat," which I thought to be 5 on the heat setting. (Was I wrong? No clue.)

5. Pour first pancake.
Make sure you keep these pancakes small and WATCH THEM! They will bubble quickly and burn quickly.

6. Hope it comes out okay.
First pancake...burned. This is where I got scared.

The underside.
The underside, however, looked more pancake-like.

My pile of sad-looking pancakes.
This is a pile of three pancakes, and I pulled the top one apart to reveal a cooked inside. I'm not sure why they looked so burned.

Two plates of sad-looking pancakes.
I made about seven small pancakes in all, and separated them into two piles for my brother and me.

Aaaaand, my breakfast layout.
Here's the final product. I drizzled agave nectar on them, which is a great vegan alternative to regular maple syrup. My brother refused to eat them, but I made a cup of coffee and chowed down. The pancakes were edible and tasted heavily of banana. They were also a pain in the butt to make, and they didn't taste good enough to make them again unless I will be advised by a professional pancake maker (a.k.a. my dad). If you do plan on doing this, make sure you get better directions than I received.

In my opinion, this DIY was a fail, but it was still fun to experiment. And I got breakfast in the end!

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed this post! How's your summer going? Comment down below. x

Updates / Why I Haven't Posted in a While.

Hey everybody!

It feels good to come back and post something. It's been about three months since I've uploaded new content to this blog. I just want to update on what's been going on in my life.

I've started learning to play the flute and guitar, which is taking up a lot of time. I also recently cut my hair! (I'll do a post on that. I cut off 12 inches so my hair care routine changed.) I've been spending more time away from electronics and more time with my friends. I've been exploring and cooking more, and I've never felt more connected with myself. I have read a lot more books and poetry, and I also have started listening to more new music. (If you have books or music to recommend, leave me a comment!)

Also, school is finally out! That honestly took up such a large chunk of my free time. For the last few weeks of school, teachers bombarded us with work in an attempt to get as many grades in as possible. I had so many projects and essays and study questions to finish that my life was a bit uncontrollable for that time; but, I finally have more time to do what I love: documenting my life.

Thank you for being patient, and I have a lot of good posts to work on and post in the future. I hope your summer is going well! Leave me a comment about what you've done so far.

Winter Formal 2016

Hello hello hello!

I know it's nearly spring, but my school delayed our winter formal dance by a month or so, thus causing the dance to actually happen a few weeks ago. I want to document that night and keep it on here. This serves as an example of me going out on a limb and going to something I wouldn't commonly want to go to, but I did it because my friends were going. Here's some pictures from that fun night.

I hope you enjoyed these few pictures of a wonderful night. Thank you reading and reliving this moment with me. Have a great March. x

30 Reasons Why Not to Go Back

Hey everybody! I'm doing a more serious post today.

Many many months ago, my boyfriend and I broke up. Obviously, I was heartbroken and later wrote my post "Two or Three Words." Now, when I look back at my ex, these are the reasons I should have broken up with him sooner.

1. You need someone who is motivated towards a goal.

2. You deserve someone who doesn't sit around and care more about video games.

3. You need someone who listens to you when you say to stop.

4. You need someone who is an intellectual equal. Not saying he was stupid, just saying he didn't care to be smarter.

5. You need someone who doesn't act like a child anymore.

6. You deserve someone who is willing to fight for what they care about.

7. You need someone that believes in God.

8. You need someone who has a name that rolls off your tongue with such elegance that it only seems natural and instinctive to say that name.

9. You need someone who knows what they want, whether it be their future college major or the characteristics of their spouse.

10. You need someone that doesn't make you uncomfortable because of their anger issues, or yelling fits.

11. You deserve someone who never swears at you, whether joking or not.

12. You need someone who understands that music is important and is the one of the few things on this planet that you will always put your heart and soul into.

13. You need someone that never raises his voice at you, especially in arguments.

14. You need someone who knows when to say that they're wrong or they're sorry. They need to be able to confess their flaws.

15. You deserve someone who never calls out what makes you the most insecure, whether it be physically or intellectually.

16. You deserve someone that keeps their promises.

17. You need someone that doesn't freak out when you talk about things in your life that aren't comfortable situations, like mental illnesses or disorders.

18. You need someone that will participate in conversations or events that are important to you.

19. You need someone who will agree and respect your traditions or beliefs, like deciding to keep sex until marriage or not opening any gifts on Christmas Eve.

20. You need someone who dresses nice, whether it be for a date, dance, going to church, or just hanging out in general.

21. You need someone who doesn't call their shoes their "babies" and doesn't dress like someone they're not.

22. You need someone who works hard and thinks he's hardly working, not someone who hardly works and thinks he's working hard.

23. You deserve someone who puts time into their appearance, like styling their hair or whitening their teeth.

24. You need someone who doesn't play games with you because he thinks it's funny.

25. You need someone that doesn't get offended when you do something (when he does it too and you look the other way).

26. You need someone who compliments your mind as much as your body.

27. You need someone who doesn't threaten to break up with you whenever you do something he doesn't like.

28. You need someone who thinks you're funny and will laugh at your worst jokes.

29. You need someone who dreams big for himself; those dreams should include you.

30. You need someone who doesn't get angry when you're too busy to reply back.

If you think you're in a toxic relationship, you probably are.

stay safe, i love you, thank you for reading, and message me if you need to talk. x

Letter To My Crush

Dear Crush,

I haven’t pinpointed you yet. That sounds strange considering that almost everyone has a crush, or at least someone they think is cute or would prefer to date. It’s been many months since the break-up, and I’ve had to replace you. I’m just not sure who you are yet.

At the age of 6, I thought you were a skater boy with golden hair and a silly laugh. He and I were the best of friends until another boy came in and we were broken apart, our friendship severed forever from what it once was. I’ve known him for 9 years, and I still haven’t figured him out.

At the age of 8, I thought you were a tall boy with thick, dark brown hair who had a smile that always reached his eyes. He and the other boy were best friends, so I tried to revive the friendship through connecting with him. We grew closer than I thought, and I second-guessed his feelings for me. I’ve known him for 8 years, and I still haven’t figured him out.

At the age of 14, I thought you were a troubled boy with gorgeous eyes and a great sense of humor. We told ourselves we were in love, and everyone (including me) believed it. He didn’t, in the end. He broke me down at my highest points and I told myself that it was okay. He left me and broke my heart and made fun of me and disrespected everything I stood for. If he were my true crush, he wouldn’t have done that.

At the beginning of my 15th birthday, I was still struggling with finding you. My three boys from past years were still surrounding me. They all have new loves now, and I’m still here. Nevermind.

Now, I think you’re here through a quiet musician with loving eyes. We talk every day, whether virtually or face-to-face. He tells me little things about myself that I have yet to figure out. I love him, but I’m not sure in what way.

Anyway, I can’t wait to meet you. Unless I’ve already met you, then hello. I’m Hannah.

Much (Unrequited) Love,

Wizard World Comic Con 2016

Hey everybody!

One of the great things I've done so far this year was go to Comic Con. I've been a huge Doctor Who fan for a while, plus I love other shows like The Walking Dead, Supernatural, and Firefly (alongside many others). My father and I have made a tradition of going to Comic Con, and this was my third year going. This year was definitely better than last year since I went to a panel and saw Jenna Coleman, a Doctor Who companion who I adore.

Although the convention goes on for three days, my family only went for two days. My father, mother, brother, and I went on Saturday; my mother and I went together on Sunday. Here are some moments from our adventures.

Day 1

For my outfit, I wore a sweatshirt from Walmart (don't judge me, it's cute), a necklace from Hot Topic, jeans from Rue 21, and boots from Zooshoo.com. I also straightened my hair to look extra put-together (sike, I did it because long hair is hard to tame and sometimes a straightener is my saving grace).

My brother was very excited to meet Loki, although he doesn't seem so excited. Kids.

The highlight of my day! Jenna Coleman was an absolute delight, and she made me fall in love with Doctor Who all over again. Plus my mother really enjoyed the panel, even if she had no clue what she was talking about.

Day 2

On the second day, I wore a Supernatural sweatshirt from Hot Topic, a scarf from Target, the same jeans and boots as day 1, and I also brought my grey hoodie (I received it as a birthday present, so no clue on where it's from) for extra warmth. However, it was really warm inside so I tied it around my waist. I also left my hair natural.

Meeting the TARDIS and a friendly Dalek. (This was super cool!)

I was also able to meet many incredible artists and cosplayers, but I was far too busy to remember to take more pictures of them. Hopefully next year I can make a complete post with more pictures.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this milestone just as much as I enjoyed living it. Thank you for reading. xx

Music Tag

Hey everybody!

I did a tag similar to this about a year ago (about, I'm not quite sure). I thought it would be fun to do something music related again and see how my taste in music has changed. By the way, I will either be using the first song that comes to mind or a song in my phone playlist.

1. A song with a color in the title.

2. A song with a number in the title.

3. A song that reminds you of summertime.

Cool for the Summer by Demi Lovato (Not sure why, this is just the song that came to mind.)

4. A song that reminds you of someone you would rather forget about.

I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz * (This song reminds me of an ex-boyfriend that made me a CD and this song was on it. Cringe.)

5. A song that needs to be played LOUD.

Take Me To Church by Hozier * (Good head-bang song.)

6. A song that makes you want to dance.

7. A song to drive to.

8. A song about drugs or alcohol.

9. A song that makes you happy.

The Monkees Theme Song (If you ever watched or listened to The Monkees, you're awesome.)

10. A song that makes you sad.

Teach Your Children by CSNY * (This was the last song that teacher in Glee performed for his students, so it makes me very sad.)

11. A song that you never get tired of.

12. A song from your preteen years.

13. One of your favorite 80's songs.

14. A song that you would love played at your wedding.

15. A song that is a cover by another artist.

Iris (Goo Goo Dolls Cover) by Sleeping With Sirens (Kellin's vocals are killin' it.)

16. One of your favorite classical songs.

Fur Elise by Ludwig van Beethoven (I know this is a basic song, but it reminds me of my best friend.)

17. A song that would make a great duet on karaoke.

18. A song from the year that you were born.

19. A song that makes you think about life.

20. A song that has many meanings to you. hold you hand

21. A favorite song with a person's name in the title.

Jackie And Wilson by Hozier (I really like Hozier.)

22. A song that moves you forward.

23. A song that you think everybody should listen to.

Here by Alessia Cara (The message behind this song is really powerful.)

24. A song by a band you wish were still together.

25. A song by an artist no longer living.

26. A song that makes you want to fall in love.

27. A song that breaks your heart.

Hello by Adele (If this song doesn't break your heart then are you a human?)

28. A song by an artist with a voice that you love.

Bulletproof Weeks by Matt Nathanson (Actual falsetto goals.)

29. A song that you remember from your childhood.

30. A song that reminds you of yourself.

Superficial Love by Ruth B (I've been in love with this song for a while, and I've been thinking about getting into a new relationship, so this song has been motivating me to figure out what and who I want.)

* there's a great cover by Glee

What I Got for Christmas 2015

Hey everybody!

Christmas has passed, and I've been taking lots of pictures of everything I was given this season. I'm excited to share it all with you! (Side note: I'm not trying to brag in any way. I enjoy seeing what other people get for Christmas, and I hope you do, too. If you see this as bragging or being rude, please do not read it. This is all just for fun.)

So let's get started:

NuMe Magic Curling Wand
From: Keran
I was given a new hair straightener for my birthday, and I wanted a curling wand ever since. I previously used a cruddy curling iron, but this wand is amazing and I love it so much! Worth the price.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Camera + Film
From: Parents + Aunt Lisa
I GOT IT! I've already taken around 8 pictures, so I made a display for my pictures. This camera is easy to take on-the-go and to have pictures made and kept instantly.

Geography Print Memory Box
From: Aunt Katie
I was given a memory box last year, and since then I have filled it to the brim. So this year I got a new one!

John Coltrane Tee
From: Aunt Lisa
John Coltrane is a famous saxophonist who inspires me, so having him on a shirt is the bomb.com.

Watercolor Set + Brushes + $25 Visa Gift Card
From: Shane
My cousin actually texted me and asked what I wanted for Christmas, so I told him that I wanted watercolor paints. He cracks me up.

Farm Apple Pumpkin Candle
From: Parents
CANDLESS.

Spiced Apple Toddy Candle
From: Jenna
Did I mention that I like candles?

Christmas Puppy Fleece Blanket
From: Jenna
I LOVE DOGS. Christmas dogs are even better.

The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire by Dan and Phil
From: Yanissa
I've watched Dan and Phil for many years, and I sincerely enjoyed reading this book.

Black Frenchie Coin Bank
From: Meghan
This is so cute! Although I keep my coins somewhere else, I will definitely use it as room decor.

Volleyball + Net Set
From: Parents
I don't play volleyball, but we played the game in P.E. this school year. I love it, so my parents got me a full set!

Black and White Chevron Print Backpack
From: Parents
The theme of my room is pastel blue and black-and-white chevron, so this backpack matches perfectly!

"Hannah" Collage Pillow
From: Grandma and Grandpa
My grandparents always get me such cute and thoughtful gifts. Although the design is a bit young, I will use this pillow none the less!

There are also some small things that I left out (socks, mugs, etc.), but these were the major things that I received this year. Thank you for reading; I hope you enjoyed!

Happy New Year!
