Updates!
And I'm in a band now! It's a small Christian band, but we're pretty good (the drummer is a bit off, but he's learning!). I play saxophone typically, but the youth pastor decided that I would be best at keyboard. And I'm pretty good. I have to practice a lot at home since I am a bit behind in knowing all of the chords. I'm getting there. :) Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
I don't wanna.
Alright. The problem with kids and homework is that kids simply don't want to do things. So, I've come up with your new excuse:
"Don't want to."
It may sound obvious, but you need to use it. We often overwork ourselves, or even under-work. What I've decided to do is that I set a goal for myself. Sometimes I'll do once a day, three times a week, once a week; depending on your personality. I give myself a "Don't Want to Do It" card. This allows you to maybe skip a chore, or homework for now. (Unless it's important, then do it!)
For example, I have a project due next Friday. I could have worked on it today, but I'm really tired from standing all day so today I use my first card.
That is all.
Take it easy.
ciao for now! love y'all. xx

I love the idea of your card! I'll be using this system for sure! I'm gonna tell my friends about it tomorrow haha.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your band, I hope the youth enjoys it? Do you have a big audience?? Maybe for keyboard you could add a track of saxophone (wow what a unique talent to have btw!)
awesome! haha.
Deletethe youth is really enjoying it. it's a good bonding experience for all of us! so far we've only had a few practices so our audiences are usually 7-8 people. not too big, but we're getting there. and I'm going to have to ask about adding a track of saxophone; it would do nicely! (and thank you! what a lovely compliment!)
btw you're my first comment I've had on my little blog, so thank you! I really appreciate you taking your time to read it. have a blessed day. :) xx
