A Change in the Weather

Hey everybody! How are y'all? It's starting to get cold...

FINALLY!!

The weather was going between hot and cold, and it's still hot at parts. But then again, there's wind. That keeps it cold. However, autumn weather also means sickness. I have a cold. :(

Being sick kind of makes me sad, because I have to disrupt class a lot just to blow my nose and throw it away and then squirt some GermX into my hand and then sit down. Like, it's not my fault I'm sick. It's just the sudden change in degrees outside. It's also affecting my music. Yesterday, I was playing saxophone with the band and the new thing we're practicing is memorizing our music. Hurray for me because I actually memorized this particular song! My time comes to play, and I play through a bit until I had to stop and breathe out of my mouth. My nose was stuffed, so I had to take frequent mouth breaks just to be able to fill my lungs. Of course, the director singled me out and asked the simple question, "Why ON EARTH did you stop playing in the middle of the song?"

I'm sorry, I didn't know I was a professional-sick-breathless-saxophone player. My bad.

Alongside illness, there's also been a change in the weather between me and a few friends (see what I did there. metaphors yo). Let me explain:

Friend A -

Okay. So this one is bothering me the most. Here's a bit of the back story.

I wasn't feeling my best two days ago. I actually had to leave my computer class just to go to the bathroom and figure my stomach out. Bloated, nauseous; you get the picture. Well, I felt a bit better when I came back to class. The clock ticks by, and it's time to leave. I leave the room and run to tell one of my best friends that I'm not feeling to bright. Then, on the bus, I always sit by this person (friend A) and she just decides this day that I am not sitting by her. I go to sit down and she looks me square in the eyes and says, "Umm, no."

excuse you.

Friend B -

So, this doesn't bother me all that much, but this friend just doesn't respond to me. I'll call her or text her or FaceTime her or something, and she never responds or picks up. I understand she's busy and everything, but please tell me that? Because I'm going to assume you hate me? Or you're dead? Or you're dead and hate me?

how is the autumn affecting you (effecting? idk)? tell me in the comments! xx

ciao for now! (hopefully I'll feel better.)

15 Weird Questions Tag +Peyton

Hi everybody! Time for a new post.

I just recently showed my blog to a few friends (hi Peyton and Valerie). They thought it was so cool that I had my own little corner to talk about my life. And Peyton has been pleading for me to post about him. However, just making a long list of why Peyton's such a cool, amazing, funny person and friend wouldn't be very interesting. He thought it would be cool if I interviewed him. (And of course I had to make it a funny tag. You've got to know me by now.) Here's what happened:

What's a nickname only your family calls you?
Squirrel. or pumpkin. And yes Forreal! (I had to ask.)

What's a weird habit of yours?
hmm. I bite my nails. a lot.

Do you have any weird phobias?
IM SCARED OF SPIDERS (Arachnophobia?) yes. that.

What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
Swimming Pools - Kendrick Lamar

What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
(I had to explain to him what this was.) OHHHHHH okay I gotcha. I really don't like when people ask me what's wrong and I'm just being quiet. like can I be quiet please? (I feel.)

What's one of your nervous habits?
(Had to explain this too.) My heart starts racing and I get really jumpy and like I just wanna run

What side of the bed do you sleep on?
right side. I'm currently in that same spot

What was your first stuffed animal and its name?
Monkey Joe.

What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?
I don't go to Starbucks but I always get a caramel frappe from McDonald's in the morning

What's a rule you preach, but never actually practice?
this is actually a tough one. idk I can't think of anything (That's okay. We can move on)

Which way do you face in the shower?
towards the shower head (me too ayee)

Do you have any weird body skills?
Remember in class? I can bend my finger. a lot. (He can, oh my gosh; it scares me.)

What's your favorite comfort food that's bad but you love to eat it anyways?
I like hot Cheetos. *LOVE OMG AND SOUR GUMMY WORMS. SOUR GUMMY WORMS ARE LIFE

What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
Umm Gosh Darnit (His original "phrase" was not very blog-friendly. If you catch my drift.)

Time to sleep, what are you actually wearing?
basketball shorts and a shirt or basketbal shorts and a tank top or [just] basketball shorts

Yay! This was really fun to do. Adding people in my blog is hopefully as interesting to you as it is to me. Hopefully I can do this more often!

And thanks, Peyton, for letting me interview you. (He really did love doing this.) He also wanted me to put that we did this interview through Kik since it was 9:30pm. He also told me to add in his Kik, but I didn't want him to be stalked in the long run. :)

anyway, thanks for reading! hope you enjoyed this!

ciao for now! xx

Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, & Wet Seal Haul!

I did it guys! Look! Bags of proof and evidence!!

My entire mall experience was, overall, interesting. It was a bit rushed, a bit silly, and a bit relaxing. I was with a few friends and their mom, and I was basically late for everything so I felt ashamed for being the last out of stores and such. BUT THERE WERE SO MANY SALES. I was astonished!

I went to three stores, and they were all lovely. The workers were actually quite helpful and friendly, although a few were (to be honest) dingy. There were at least 10 people in line, yet there's only one cashier? Come on now, Forever 21. Get it together.

Let's get to the haul! I'll name the items, say where they're from, and how much I got them for (as well as the sales!!). I also went outside just to take pictures at 9:30am. I try hard for y'all.
Baggy Cream Cable Knit Sweater
Forever 21
Originally $19.80, Paid $10.99

Lightweight Knit Black and White Top w/ Pocket
Forever 21
Originally $8.80, Paid $4.19

White Spade, Striped, and Pink Plaid Hair Clips
Forever 21
Paid $2.80

Large Chain Knit Black Beanie
Charlotte Russe
Originally $8.99, Paid $5.00

Marbled Cozy Socks
Charlotte Russe
Originally $4.99 each, Paid $6.00 for both pairs

Rugby Stripe Black and White Maxi Skirt
Wet Seal
Originally $16.90, Paid $5.20

Ribbed Black and White Striped Top
Wet Seal
Originally $14.90, Paid $4.00

Black and White Polka Dot Skater Skirt
Wet Seal
Originally $16.90, Paid $5.00

As you can see, the only thing I paid full price for was the hair bows, which were inexpensive. Although I felt bad for weighing down my friends by combing through each store's clearance racks, I got some good sales! I didn't realize just how much I saved until I started blogging about it. This kind of blew my mind.

Long story short, you don't have to have a lot of money to shop at the mall. Just be smart with your money! Hit up the clearance and sale racks. Don't be shy!

Original Price Total : $99.07

Sale Price Total :       $43.18

Saved :                       $55.89

Just sayin'.

ciao for now! xx

Forever 21 & Charlotte Russe ?!

Hey everyone! I woke up ready to blog! :)

So, here's my schedule so far:

Thursday - total of three tests. practice after. fundraiser money due. need to bake cookies. probably have more homework later.

Friday - bake sale. later, shopping with one of my friends.

Saturday - babysitting job from morning until afternoon. football game in the evening from night.

Sunday - church.

Monday - back to the grind.

Pretty crazy, huh? I've been trying to shove my entire life into a few days and it's making me feel overwhelmed. All of the things in my life are scheduled on what it feels to be the same days; some days I'm chilling with Netflix and the next days I'm tearing my hair out.

But I want to make this post more about Friday. (Not the bake sale, although I am making s'mores cookies that are fabulous.) It's going to be about "shopping."

I honestly don't remember when I've last just went to the store with a friend, not knowing what we wanting and not knowing where we were going. It kind of scares me. What if I make an impulse buy? What if I buy something too small/large and it looks weird on me? What if I misjudge a price and don't have enough money for it at the register? The "what if"s are killing me!

It's not just the general experience, however. I told my friend specifically that I wanted to go to teen stores like Charlotte Russe and Forever 21. The problem is: I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO IN THERE. (Nice one, self.)

This is going to be a new experience for me. I've asked around to get a bit of an opinion about shopping and most of them tell me that both of the stores have pricey and not-every-pricey items, but all are bad quality. This took me back at first because whenever I ask fashion gurus or hear other gurus talk about their wardrobe, most of it is from those too stores. That's when I got thinking. Do people just buy it for the name? Is it that whatever not-every-pricey items are bought, those are the true bad quality clothes? Are all the clothes bad quality?

I don't know, friends, and I'm frightened. The good thing is I'll have one of my best friends there with me (along with her mom who is pretty swag). If I find something to buy that doesn't shatter in my hands, I'll do a haul asap.

thanks for reading once again! comment below! I'd love to hear from some of y'all.

anyways, ciao for now! xx

My Best Friend(s?)

Hey everyone! I love to update, but I usually have no time. So I made some time! It's fine that it's 5:41am. Shhh.

So yesterday, I was presented with a question: "Who's your best friend?"

I had an answer, but I felt bad to give it. My best friend lives far away, so we barely get to see each other although we talk daily. However, I have two other friends that live a few houses away from me. We see each other constantly, plus we talk daily because of school.

So why was I nervous to say the right answer?

Because I don't like to pick favorites! I know, I know. It's a pretty bad quality. I don't even like to choose between food choices when my family goes out to eat. It's an absolute struggle just to figure out what to wear on Sunday mornings for church. It's not that I don't want to go, it's because I am not good at picking things out.

I'm also nit picky (is that the right term?). I like things done a certain way. Seeing it in typed words probably seems less serious than experiencing it, but I'm nittty gritty with most things.

So, my question to you is, who's your best friend? Can you give a straight answer? "Yes, this person has been my best friend since second grade." Or can you give a wishy-washy answer? "Hmm, well, I'm not too sure about that, maybe her, maybe him."

I had to give the person who asked me yesterday the ole "I can't decide." Which was true, honestly. I couldn't decide! I knew who it was, but there were people who I felt I was pushing away by saying one name.

What would you have done in my situation? Comment below! I'd love to talk to you.

anyways, ciao for now! (let's see how often I update.) xx

Updates! / Birthday Resolution?

Hi everyone! Long time no blog... I'm super super so so sorry about that.

As you know, school has started and I just never realized how completely overwhelmed I would be. It's CRAZY. It's mostly my English teacher to be honest. Paper after paper after essay after project after test. He keeps saying he's "prepping us for high school," but it feels more like he's prepping us for the Literature military.

I am also now in Talented Music for my saxophone (so fancy!). That means that I get pulled out of some classes for extra lessons on my instrument. This also means I have to, then, make up work. A few questions or reading passages isn't much, but HOLD UP. LEMME TELL YOU.

We have this class where all I do is sit in a room on a computer. It sounds great, except you're learning the "Fine Arts" (what are this). Instead of a teacher, we have an "instructor" who gets paid to sit in there and answer our questions. Except she barely does that. In all honesty, I'm a fairly smart and good student. I'm quite shy and timid when it comes to asking teachers something. So when the time rolls around to ask her a question, such as "How do I print this essay?", she merely rolls her eye at me and tells me to ask my classmates and shoulder partners. And then she yells at me for talking!

(I'm also writing an essay in her class about blogging, which is seriously the best thing I've done in that class so far.)

So that class is hectic, and life in general is hectic because guess what tomorrow is!

It's My Birthday!

Alright. It's my birthday tomorrow, and I'm SUPER excited. I'm having a small all-girls party where we're swapping clothes. It should be fun, and today's kind-of the start to it since my mom's going to be making the cake today as well as my best friend, who lives 30 minutes away, is coming to sleep over.

I don't know how many of my family members are coming, but hopefully more than last year. Last year was a bit pitiful although the gifts were amazing (thanks mum and dad!).

You know how people do New Year's Resolutions? I want to try to do a Birthday Resolution so here it is: I'm going to post more.

I don't know if it's going to be daily, every-other-day, weekly, or somewhere in between. It just really depends on what I have time for and what my readers want. :) Y'all are my motivation towards my writing, and I plan to give back a bit more.

I have some ideas for tags and things, maybe a monthly favorites post, but I'm always open to suggestions! Leave a comment (even if you just want to ask how my day's been)! I'd love to talk to you.

anyways, have a great day. i'll see how this goes.

ciao for now! xx
